We recently announced our intention to migrate the remaining components of the Sipcentric platform to their new home on the Simwood network. For the first stage, we will be migrating our core database to a new cluster.

We have extensively tested in the lab and do not anticipate any negative effects resulting from the move. However, as a precautionary step, write operations will remain where they are at this stage to allow some time to roll back in the event of any issues.

Whilst we will need to restart each component for the updated config to be applied, customers having devices configured with and correctly implementing SRV records should notice no downtime whatsoever. Please refer to our Knowledge Base article on how to implement SRV records here: https://support.simwood.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018822219-Configuring-DNS-SRV. Due to the nature of the work, however, and it needing to be performed across multiple availability zones, service should be considered at risk for the duration of the maintenance window.
